What is Spiral Release Bodywork?

SRB facilitates your healing process by opening the body, eliminating pain, heightening awareness, accelerating spiritual growth and enhancing your experience of life. You can see the About SRB page for more information.

Do you accept new patients?

Yes, new patients are currently being accepted.

How can this work help me?

Spiral Release Bodywork facilitates the permanent release of connective

tissue in the body, enabling a wide range of changes throughout the body and spirit. It can include the release of physical and emotional pain. SRB has helped people with ovarian cysts, chronic back pain, carpal tunnel, headaches, Ankylosing Spondylitis and various other ailments. Moreover, SRB clients have experienced increases in flexibility and self-esteem, greater personal empowerment, and a fuller union with their spiritual self.

How long does a session last?

Recommended sessions last two-hours, however one and three-hour sessions are available.

How much does a session cost?

Please call 408-736-5136 or email tim@spiralrelease.com for current rates and available discount packages.

What should I wear?

Loose comfortable clothing is recommend, such as sweat pants or shorts and a t-shirt.

Why is Spiral Release Bodywork so effective?

SRB is effective because of the permanent changes that occur when releasing the connective tissue and freeing the body from restrictions and other limiting patterns held by the body’s tissue. Using unique body positions and equipment allows greater access into parts of the body, which ordinarily cannot be accessed with most other modalities using a conventional massage table.

Will it hurt?

Spiral Release Bodywork does not create pain, but it is possible to feel pain during a session. SRB will make you aware of the pain your body carries. Each session you have will feel completely different than the previous session because of the permanent changes that occured during the previous session.

What can I expect to feel after a session?

The work takes twenty-four to forty-eight hour to fully be integrated in the body. After this period, most people feel a reduction or complete elimination of their pain. Other benefits are a feeling of lightness and openness, greater flexibility and an enhanced sense of well-being. You can see our testimonials page for further information.

Where are you located?

Tim has a private practice in Sunnyvale, California, and is available for travel to most areas for sessions or training.

Are there other SRB practitioners?

This is a new technique. Although currently there are no other practitioners of Spiral Release Bodywork, training in the technique is planned.

Do you provide training?

Training workshops for continuing education and SRB Certification will be scheduled in the future (see the Training page). Please contact Tim Custis at 888-546-9496 or email tim@spiralrelease.com for additional information.

What makes SRB different from other forms of bodywork?

When most people experience bodywork or massage, they come to relax and be pampered usually in a passive manner. With SRB, you will become a full participant during your session, which will allow your body to release on deeper levels. As a participant you will be taught the Conscious Energy Release Techniques which will enable you to work in concert with your body to release holding and trauma. With these techniques, you can work with the direct and indirect line of communication between the body, the conscious and subconscious mind. Other differences between SRB and other modalities include unique body positions, therapy balls and equipment. As a practitioner, Tim uses his intuition, sight, hearing and touch to locate and release hardness, holding, pain and trauma from the body. SRB clients experience more change in their physical body and emotional state in a shorter period than with most other modalities.

Is special equipment used?

Yes, special equipment is used. It allows for greater access into areas of the body that are not accessible on a flat surface, like a massage table. Although this equipment is not necessary, it does facilitate and accelerate change in the body.
